Demolition of chimneys

Businesses are moved, closed down or changed conditions. Sometimes it's wiser to tear down than to entertain. Brick chimneys are dismantled, stone by stone. Steel and concrete chimneys are cut off in sections, which are lifted to the ground with a crane. We do this, mainly for security reasons. But sometimes the old chimney can be used for something else useful. Nowadays, for example, the former upper third of the chimney to Hudiksvall Hospital forms the basis for a pier in the harbor.
